The study of child and adolescent abuse, with is historical, social and cultural roots, grows amidst the conceptual and methodological difficulties that oppose a more realistic understanding of the problem. The physical and emotional consequences, either long-term and immediate, are, to a great extent, well-known. However, attempts to understand and minimize child abuse are usually faced with great obstacles. In this sense, the practice of multidisciplinary actions may present an alternative for the problem.
